I have a lot of thoughts that I felt in my experiences in Japan and in foreign countries in this past decades.
From those encounters with people or cultures, I opened this page.
We have no correct answers for what we feel or think. I would be very happy if I could share them.

当館のタトゥーに対してのポリシー
当館では、ファッションや個人の趣味として、また民族伝統文化などの理由からタトゥー(TATTOO)のある方が、ホテルや旅館の温泉や入浴で制限を受ける事を悲しいと考えています。
近年、日本へのインバウンドの増加にともない「タトゥー(TATTOO)があっても入れる温泉を知っていますか？」という質問が増えています。目的地の温泉に入ることができるか分からないのは、多くの旅行者にとって大きな不安要素と考えています。
最近では、箱根温泉、大分県の別府温泉や由布院温泉、群馬県の草津温泉、兵庫県の有馬温泉、愛媛県の道後温泉、北海道の登別温泉、鹿児島県の指宿温泉、岐阜県の下呂温泉や奥飛騨温泉、栃木県の鬼怒川温泉など各地の有名温泉施設では徐々にタトゥーシールを貼ることで温泉への入浴対応も増えてきました。
当館は一軒家貸切・一棟貸切の特徴を生かして、タトゥー(TATTOO)のある方のタトゥーシール無しでの温泉・入浴を歓迎します。
当館の建物を完全貸切ですのでプライバシー・プライベート感は完璧に守らています。
もちろん、当館は反社会勢力の活動を助長するためのものではありません。
当館のご利用にあたりましては、全ての法令を遵守するとともに、社会規範の尊重を前提とし、各所で定められたタトゥーに関する規則の厳守だけにとどまらず、良識あるマナー及びモラルの向上に率先して努めていただけますよう広くお願い申し上げます。
熱海は東京方面以外の大阪・京都・神戸からも東海道新幹線で来れる利便性のある温泉街ですので、全国・全世界からの御来館・御予約をお待ちしております。
Policy for TATTOO at "Atami Onsen House"
We think it sad that those who has TATTOO due to their style, hobby or tribe traditional culture have some limit to use bath or Onsen at hotels or Inns.
In resent years, the more increase inbound to Japan, the more question like "Do you know any Onsen that welcome those who has TATTOO?". It might be a big worry for travelers that if they can go to Onsen or not.
Nowadays, famous Onsen facilities all over Japan such as Hakone, Beppu or Yufuin in Oita, Kusatsu in Gunma, Arima in Hyogo, Dougo in Ehime, Noboribetsu in Hokkaido, Ibusuki in Kagoshima, Gero or Okuhida in Gifu, and Kinugawa in Tochigi welcome those who has TATTOO by putting TATTOO stickers.
We are whole rent system, so we welcome those who has TATTOO enjoy bath or Onsen without TATTOO stickers.
You can rent whole building, no one disturb your privacy or private.
We are not supporting antisocial forces. For using our place, please make sure to follow all the law, respect social norm. In addition, please observe the rules about TATTOO strictly, and have common sense and manner.
Atami is an Onsen area where you can come all the way from Osaka, Kyoto or Kobe by Tokaido Shinkansen, so we are waiting for your coming and making reservation from all over Japan and the world.

Ａ.天然温泉を源泉掛け流しです。
Q. Is the Onsen directly from the source?
A. Yes, it’s natural hot spring.
Ｑ.お風呂はどんな種類がありますか
Ａ.屋上露天風呂、ミニ岩風呂風浴室、ミニレンガ風呂、猫足バスタブがございます。
Q. What type of baths do you have?
A. Open-air bath on rooftop, mini bathroom looking like the one made of rocks, mini bricks made bath, Rococo style bathtub.
Ｑ.水着を着て入れますか？
Ａ.一緒の宿泊者の方の御理解があれば構いません。
Q. Is it OK to wear swimming suit to go in Onsen?
A. It’s ok if the others don’t mind.
Ｑ.浴室は男女わかれていますか？
Ａ.特に浴室ごとにわけてはおりません。
Q. Is the bathroom separated for women or for men?
A. No,it’s not separated.
Ｑ.温泉の泉質を教えてください
Ａ.塩化物温泉です。源泉は、ほとんど無色、透明、弱塩味、微苦味、無臭です。
Q. Please tell us about the hot spring quality.
A. Chloride hot spring. It has almost no color, a bit salty and bitter, and no smell.
Ｑ.温泉の効能を教えて下さい
Ａ.神経痛、筋肉痛、関節痛、五十肩、運動麻痺、関節のこわばり、うちみ、くじき、慢性消化器病、痔疾、冷え性、病後回復期、疲労回復、健康増進、きりきず、やけど、慢性皮膚病、虚弱児童、慢性婦人病など。

Q. Please tell us the efficacy of Onsen.
A. Nerve pain, muscle ache, joint ache, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, stiff joints, contusion, twisted joint, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoid, excessive sensitivity to cold, recovery from illness, soothing effect, health enhancement, cut, burn injury and chronic skin diseases, weakly child, chronic female disorders and so on.
Please have a read of the good quality Atami “hot spring analysis report” (our hot spring analysis data) made by a hot spring analysis specialist in Japan.
Ｑ.温泉の効果と作用を教えて下さい
Ａ.温熱で新陳代謝の促進や、自立神経の調整に効果があります。水圧で運動効果やマッサージ効果があります。浮力で身体が自由になることでリラックスでき、リハビリ等に効果があります。
Q. Please tell us the effect and the action.
A. Good for promoting the metabolism and the adjustment of autonomic nerve. It has effects same as exercise or massage because of the water pressure. You can relax because of the buoyancy and have effect for rehabilitations.
Ｑ.禁忌症について教えて下さい
Ａ.急性疾患(特に熱のある場合)、活動性の結核、悪性腫瘍、重い心臓病、心臓病(ただし高温浴42℃以上の場合)、呼吸不全、腎不全、出血性疾患、高度の貧血、高度の動脈硬化症(ただし高温浴の場合)、高血圧症(ただし高温浴の場合)、その他一般に病勢進行中の疾患、妊娠中(とくに初期と末期)の方には入浴をご遠慮いただいております。
Q. Please tell us about contraindication.
A. Please refrain from taking a bath if you have acute diseases (in particular, when feverish), active tuberculosis, malignant tumor, serious cardiac diseases, cardiac disease(in case the temperature is more than 42℃), respiration failure, dysfunction of kidneys, bleeding disease, serious anemia, serious arteriosclerosis(in case of hot bath), high blood pressure, progressing diseases in general, and pregnancy (in particular, first pregnancy trimester and last pregnancy trimester).
